Oh, how I love this session! I met Ashley and Adam at Weathington Park in Section, Alabama, which is about an hour away from Huntsville. The views are always beautiful and absolutely worth the drive! We were blessed with the most gorgeous, glowy light, which gave us such a magical feel. It was a bit cold and windy, but Ashley and Adam were amazing. Their love for one another and excitement for their first baby was on display!
This session was captured on my Canon 1V 35 mm camera and my Canon 5d Mark iii. I hadn’t used my 35 mm camera in awhile, and it was wonderful to pick it up for this maternity session. The tones and the grain documented the moments timelessly. I’m so thankful for The Archetype Process profiles, which I use to match my digital images to my film scans. Photographers, if you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend giving them a try!
First-time parents’ maternity sessions are so much fun. I made the mistake of skipping these photos when I was pregnant with my first, and I regret it. The last months before you add children into your relationship are precious and deserve to be documented.
