This beautiful Huntsville in-home family session was such a treat for me. It’s not often that I get to photograph a family with older kids indoors, but I left feeling such a renewed creativity. The Pohly family was on-board for all of my ideas. I can’t tell you how much of a difference it makes when a client fully trusts my vision and goes with the flow.
This in-home session was shot with my Pentax 645n and 5d Mark iii. I often photograph hybrid, which just means I’m using both traditional film and digital cameras. You’ll see me switching back and forth while I shoot, making sure I capture all the moments from multiple angles. I started shooting medium format film early last year, and I don’t think I can ever go back! It’s just so dreamy and produces the most beautiful tones and colors.
The Pohly family was so sweet! Jessica and I met when my family and I moved to Huntsville about 5 years ago, and it’s been fun to watch each other grow our photography businesses! Jessica is a talented photographer, herself, and it’s always an honor to have the chance to work with another artist. Her girls were such fun and showed off their personalities beautifully. And let me tell you – everyone in this family has the most striking blue eyes! I was enamored!
