Welcoming a newborn home is one of the sweetest, most intimate experiences of motherhood. You’ve dreamed of this day and imagined what it would be like to finally have your baby in your arms, in your home. As a Huntsville newborn photographer, I cherish the opportunity to photograph newborns and their families in their homes. The first days with a new baby are beautiful, blurry, and fleeting. Capturing the tender moments can ease the ache of days going by too quickly and give you treasures to look back on for a lifetime.
The Family
I photographed the Smith family’s newborn session in their beautiful Huntsville home. We had already met at Ashley’s maternity session at Delano Park a few months earlier, so I walked in so excited to meet their new baby girl and see their little boy again. Ashley had her hair and makeup done by Olivia Sparks and just glowed with the joy of motherhood. Everyone was smitten with baby Charlotte, the sweetest little newborn baby girl. Smiles all around and a family ready to share the love made for an absolutely dreamy session.
Connection
At the heart of all of the images I create for your family, is connection. I want to document real moments and real memories because that is what I know you’ll want to remember. So snuggle up, let the toddler be himself, look in the eyes of your loved ones, and let your Huntsville newborn session become a memory in and of itself. There’s no reason to stress or worry. I’ve been doing this for years, and I promise that if you relax and focus on enjoying your family, we will create images you will love.
Preparing Your Home
One thing I don’t want you to do in preparation for your session is worry. Your home does not have to be scrubbed or organized or perfectly tidied. As a Huntsville newborn photographer, I understand that you have a lot more important things to think about! When I arrive for your session, I’ll walk around and find the best light, because the best light is more important than the most beautiful room. We may have a few room options to use, or we may stay put in one area. I’ve photographed newborn sessions both ways, and both are beautiful! I can help you tidy up once I’ve selected an area, so really – please don’t worry!
